Managing Morning Anxiety

Most mornings I wake up with anxiety.

At first, I thought this was weird— nothing happens when I open my eyes, so how could I feel this way without anything occurring to stimulate it?

But then I realized how normal this is.

I wake up still processing my subconscious thoughts from my dreams, followed by obsessively thinking of all the things I need to get done.

Without my morning routine of meditation, journaling, and movement, I’d stay anxious.

The feeling could easily suffocate me with overwhelm and prevent me from getting anything done, if I let it.

Since I’ve found my way to manage it, it’s much easier for me to move through when I’m feeling it.
