HOW TO END THE DIET CYCLE AND FIND BALANCE IN YOUR EATING HABITS

Rather than focusing on how foods going to make you LOOK, focus on how foods going to make you FEEL. Depriving yourself doesn’t feel good and overindulging doesn’t either. Experiment with finding your happy medium.
Cookies aren’t the issue— it’s eating the entire box of cookies, after ignoring your hunger cues all day. When we put (insert “bad” food item here) off limits, we put them on a pedestal, as if we have to earn it or deserve it— this screws so many of us up.
When we restrict calories so significantly, by trying to wish away our hunger (a very normal human experience)— this screws so many of us up.
Instead of creating strict “all-or-nothing” concepts, practice being selective of what you truly want to eat. Think beforehand. Ask yourself, “How will this make me feel now and how will it make me feel in a few hours from now?”
When you do that, you’ll be able to enjoy dessert, without guilt. You’ll recognize fueling your body with 3 balanced meals per day is better than skipping them. You’ll enjoy feeling full and energized, because you realize you’re less likely to binge when you’re satisfied.
Changing your eating habits takes time, patience, and self awareness. I’m not saying it’s easy, but it is worth it.
You can break the over/eating cycle if you continue to work at it daily by creating an environment to thrive:
– Get quality sleep.
– Prepare healthy food so it’s easily assessable
– Instead of putting certain foods in the OFF LIMITS box, put them in the LIMITED box
Continue to work at this and soon enough you’ll be eating healthy (consistently) and feeling like the best version of yourself, not just for a week, not just for a month, but for a lifetime.
Lots Of Healthy Love,
