Every time I travel, I get the chance to slow down, process, and observe; something that’s difficult to do when caught up in the day to day of life.
This trip I was reminded of how far I’ve come in regards to my relationship with food and my body.
What to eat and when to eat as well as what to wear and what not to wear, would fight to take up 100% of my brain space.
I’d wake up with an immediate sense of pressure of NEEDING to workout, to remove any ounce of guilt leftover from overindulging.
But now, I workout when I want and eat what I want based on what makes me feel good both mentally AND physically.
It’s a hard balance to master, but I finally have, and as a result, I’m more confident than ever.
More confident in my food choices.
More confident in my workouts.
More confident in my body.
And more confident in myself.
THIS is possible for you too.
Restricting your intake and exercising excessively provides a false sense of control.
Overindulging to the point of feeling sick, isn’t pleasurable like your mind tricks you to believe before you finally stop eating.
Focusing on how you want to feel, now and later, based on what’s important to you, is the secret to unleashing that better version of you.
The version of you that’s more powerful, more energetic, and more confident than the version of you, you’re settling for now.
