Why Sometimes Choosing The Unhealthy Option Is The Healthier Option

There was a time in my weight loss journey I ONLY ate healthy food— it didn’t matter what I was craving. When I went to a restaurant with family and friends I always got the salad (dressing on the side), because it was “safe.” I’d sit there chomping on my lettuce and carrots, eyeballing everyone else’s meal, thinking, “Wow, that looks good…”
I resisted eating anything outside of what I allowed…until I couldn’t anymore. What I didn’t know then, but see clearly now, are those “healthy” choices led to binges.
If you’ve been following me for awhile then you know I preach balance. This is a prime example of what I mean— sometimes ordering the “unhealthy” meal, is the better choice. When you eat what you’re truly in the mood for, you’re less likely to overeat.
Use the guide below to help you pin point what it is you’re craving, so you can finish eating, feeling satisfied mentally and physically.
